I’m always slightly puzzled when I meet a brewer who doesn’t love trying new beers. And old beers. Any old beers really! Research is one of my favorite parts of the brewing process. And I take research very, very seriously…. So here are some of the recent brews I tried. Did I like all of them? Well, no, obviously not. Some of them were quite crap actually, improper fermentation, ill judged combinations that felt a bit too gimmicky, but on the whole I really enjoyed trying so many different things, from a Hibiscus session saison and a mild brown sour to a candy infused farmhouse ale and something complicated and Polish with Champagne yeast. Fun, fun, fun.
