Our India Pale Ale, a lovely, outspoken blend of Nugget & Cascade. India Pale Ales were brewed for the British troops in India. When they shipped the barrels of ale from Britain they’d add a lot more hops to the mix to stop the barrels from going off. The style caught on and was revived in the US when craft brewing came back in fashion. It’s hoppy and quite bitter. Perfect for a sunny day!

The Verdiales is our local music, here in the Montes de Málaga. It’s a form of flamenco named for the Verdiales olive that grows in our region. Verdiales involves dancing, singing, violins and the most wonderful hats with ribbons. Each year at our January feria de San Hilario they raffle off one of those hats and I always try and win. No luck so far, but one day…

The joy and energy of this music is what I tried to incorporate in the Verdiales IPA: it’s a happy, outspoken, perhaps even loud West Coast IPA. Big nose, big taste, good head, great body, no hangover. Great for a night of music and dancing.
